Are there no limits to how far these guys will go?
John Edwards now says that a major plank in his universal health care plan is a requirement that everyone make regular trips to the doctor to “make sure that you are OK.”
Edwards said his mandatory health care plan would cover preventive, chronic and long-term health care. The plan would include mental health care as well as dental and vision coverage for all Americans.
“The whole idea is a continuum of care, basically from birth to death,” he said.
In other words, the same cradle-to-grave control of every detail of your personal life that our neighbors in Cuba enjoy.
Which leads me to wonder — if I choose to skip my Edwards Exam, what is the penalty for this infraction of federal law: imprisonment? fines? loss of coverage?
Make no mistake: When you look to the government to provide a benefit, you will get a lousy benefit and lose your freedom.
