According to a recent survey, most young people have “a deep yearning for traditional structures and values.” Asked to “identify the most pressing issue facing your generation in the world today,” they pointed to family breakdown (24%) and community violence (22%). Global warming got only 14%. A vast majority (90%) look forward to marriage, while religion and spirituality were considered “very or somewhat important” by 73%.
And get this — most of these “traditional” young people are from California.
For all their silly, impulsive ways, young people still represent the best hope of humanity.
