Global Warming? Ask the Sea Otters

Sea otters on the Alaska Peninsula are being forced to waddle inland to forage for food, risking death at the hands of wolves, humans, and other threats. Why? Because “an unbudging sheath of sea ice has blocked off the waters” where they usually forage. According to this source, “similar freeze-outs have been documented since the early 1970s.”

For these poor creatures, I suppose global warming can’t come soon enough.
